Myrtle Beach, SC the "Southern Coney Island"
The
next day we were off to Myrtle Beach. I thought that this would be a good place
for my son and wife...lot's to do beyond fishing. I do want to stay married
a little bit longer.
"Southern
Coney Island" is what came to my mind as we entered the city limits. Small amusement
parks with rollercoasters, miniature golf, arcades, go carts, tons of golf and
fireworks. My son's eyes were wide, "Dad please take me here, Dad please take
me there."
Michael loves miniature golf and this place had ton's of miniature golf courses
of all shapes and sizes, Southern style, as elaborate as they come. Jungle ones,
Jurassic Park ones with gigantic dinasours. To a kid this is heaven. We checked
in to a nice hotel for Labor Day weekend, got a room overlooking the beach and
yours truly went to check out the local fishing pier.
