Those first few evenings were spent joking with
Big Dave, who can always get me laughing...a sense of humor is a must for a crew member on these long trips...and being seasoned in all different scenarios. Late at night, I'd have a smoke, stare at the stars and clear out all those cobwebs and just listen to the swift wind blow by. Silence, what a pleasure.

The next day, I had my tunes up front and layed out in the sun. Listening to my man, Neil Young and Bob Marley. Dude, it doesn't get any better. Then the dolphins came...jumping the waves along side the boat..music lovers, I guess! No rush. No where to be. And someone else driving. There's the third and final bell for lunch.

We had thorough seminars on rig tying and all the scenario's you could run into. The next day, I got some illustrations done. Each day I was able to do some artwork and play backgammon with Jimmy...I think that I owe him my first born. Oh well! Jim had a chest infection which did heal right before we got to our destination.

We travelled hundreds of miles down the Baha coast. The time for tuna fishing was only hours away now. Our destination Hurricane Bank. I had read about this area for years and had seen pictures that blew me away. I must have read them a hundred times...and now reality had finally arrived!
