The ride through these small towns reminds me of what the Hamptons once were...when I was a kid. There are unrestricted beaches that run for miles...a surfcaster's dream! And along one of those beaches is the Lighthouse View Motel & Cottages.
We arrived there after our 12 hour drive and unloaded our stuff (lots of stuff!) into a room, that turned out to be more like a small house, complete with a full kitchen, dishwasher, cable...the works and, of course, a beautiful view of the ocean!
There are a variety of accomodations available, all of which have access to the oceanfront pool and hot tub. To stay at this hotel is to stay in comfort...with your buddies or family and it won't cost you your first born! There are plenty of other activities in the area including water parks, miniature golf, go carts and just hiking on the endless dunes.
