Brooklyn V - Sheepshead Bay
Part II
August 31, 1998

Heavy duty spinning gear is needed. When you get a bite let him take it a little bit and hold on he is going to fly like a cat who just got his tail pulled. Make sure your drag is set right or the other thing that you will hear is "pop"...thank you very much...the fish now owns your hook.

The mates never stopped running around all day...and the Captain was top knotch. Everyone caught their limits of blues and there were more than 80 false albacore brought on with about 200 break offs. My 9 year old son, Michael, had 6 blue fish up to 8 lbs.

Perfect, perfect day of fishing...wish every day is like this. So head on down to Sheepshead Bay and jump on the Brooklyn V and have a blast!
