Lazy Bones - Montauk

Captain Mike Jegessi
Thursday, June 5, 1997

Shot out from New York to one of my favorite places...Montauk. Got on the Lazy Bones for a half day trip. The weather was sunny and blue skies, but the north wind brought high seas around the bend of the lighthouse. The fluke have arrived nicely in Montauk, but the captain, Mike Vegessi prevailed.

There were the newlyweds Scott & Ellen Hinton...Scott could do no wrong with 6 3/4 lb. doormat and a 3 lb...and his golden wife with a 3 1/2 lb. fluke. Then the second couple Rob & Nancy Hessler for a nice 3 1/2 lb. and a few keepers. Then there was Mike Argenio for a 3 lb. nice fluke...and quite a few more.

The mates on the Lazy Bones are aces...I mean aces! A great family boat. The captain knows the waters around Montauk like no one else. The Lazy Bone is a great pick of the week.
