"The Makings of a Great Captain"
Capt. Lou - Freeport

August, 1999

I've been going on the Lou since the beginning. My son Michael has been on the boat since diapers, he's now 10 years old. Their boats have always been clean. The crew is courteous and always there to help the customers out. As a family boat for kids, it's one of the best in Freeport. The galley is full service, and there's always hot coffee and egg on a roll for breakfast. Smitty and Johnny Mack are what makes Capt. Lou's a clean, running machine. Two great Captains have put their time in it and it shows. Experience out weighs all. Just because a kid gets a captain's license and you put him behind a wheel of a boat does not make him instant fishing material. A real captain always has a smile and takes everyday as a new day. I base my opinion on years of service. The regulars on Lou's boat come back year after year...and they bring their kids and friends not just because the fishing is good or bad, but because the boat has a good feeling to it that only Smitty and Johnny could bring. The captain's door is always open and they've always taken the time to say "hello," and remember names, unlike me (I forgot my own wife's birthday, not to be recommended). Those are the things that bring people back time and time again. An irritant captain who regards his customers as just dollars on the boat will get a flash in the pan business no matter how many fish come. That is why Lou's boats have been around year after year. Consistent great service. And that is why Lou's boat will be around for years to come...because of the service.

Here's a happy customer that will surely come back again and again.
