OK, OK...here are the pictures! Al Goldberg is one of my favorite fishing partners...whenever we get together St. Peter is riding on our shoulders. Ambrose Channel has been a real treat. Al and I were looking at each other in amazement! As soon as we dropped our bait it was being torn to shreds by hundreds of "mako" fluke waiting for a bite. These fluke didn't need any "stinkin' badges" to take out our bait. The problem was what rig could do the most damage and how to get through the younger ones to the doormat.
Trust me there be doormats roaming out there in that channel...partner...yippie-yo-yippie-yay! We were into fluke for hours. Every drift had fluke...I repeat EVERY drift had fluke. Al and I never sat down once during the entire trip. So if Al looks a little tired he is! I would recommend Mike the mate's silver bullet rig with a teaser. Ask Mike the mate to tie it up for you and get ready for some slamming fishing. The Captain has those fish's number down pat! It was a four star day. Thanks guys for a great fishing day it got me smiling. This won't last forever...
