Marlin V - Montauk
Captains - Ed Beneduci & John Dina
Sunday, July 6, 1997

July 6th...a day to remember. The fluke fishing in Montauk has been great. But with the right Captain and the right crew it can be spectacular. The Captains were Ed Beneduci and John Dina. I cannot say enough about having the right Captain...and Ed Beneduci is a four star Captain.

He knew his spots inside out and played the tides like a piano player. This was a half day banger trip and I was there... 220 fluke...that's keepers, not throw backs. That first hour we had over a hundred fish. The people on this boat were ecstatic and blew their own horn. Mike Simon & Barry Delisle kept their limit and threw back over 20 keepers.

It was a joke on the fish. Capt. John Dina is professional to the T. Polite, funny and has a great crew...his sons! They take care of their customers like gold. Nothing is enough...and the boat's spacious and clean because they treat it as such. Always hot coffee and cold drinks. This is one of my favorites. So look, if you want some hot fluke fishing, Montauk is the place and the Marlin is the place to be. Take a look at these pictures, they're from a half day trip! Wake up and smell the coffee...Grab a buddy, a wife, a son and leave today.
Tell them that Dave sent you...and e-mail me the results of your day.
