"Tide Runner Weakfish"
Sea Queen - Sheepshead Bay
May 16, 2000

"Remember back in the day..." that line that you hear from all the old time fishermen. Well, those days are back! At the back of Jamaica Bay the females are nesting and the jumbo macho males are right there with them. We're talking 3 pounds and better roaming around the darkness of night.

The Sea Queen is doing their weakfish and striper runs by the tides, so you must call to check the times of departure. The winds weren't being cooperative, so we had a steady pick of some sweet fish. Trust me, the fish are there for the taking and when mother nature cooperates it's going to be slamming time. George knows the spots like the back of his hand. He is only stupified at where all of the fishermen are with the fishing this great. There are currently no heavy crowds.

Listen, the pictures speak for themselves guys. There is no reason for a blow by blow routine. Four stars weakfish and three stars stripers...more for me, less for you. Hot tip: This is not going to last forever dudes best bet is now. May is jumbo time don't wait for later and say "I should have been there".
