Starstream II - Freeport

Capt.John
Monday, August 4, 1997

Got up semi-early this morning for blue fishing on the Starstream II, in Freeport. The sea was dead calm. First drop the mate put out a good chum slick and we were in a quick flurry of fish...we jigged them up from the bottom, my favorite way to fish blue fish. A mess of blues came in...then it was a slow pick on drifting bait for the rest of the day, with a blue here and there...welcome to fishing, that's how it goes.

Pool winner, Mark Frascella 11 years old...8 lb. blue and his brother Michael for a 5 lb. blue. The Starstream is a good fast ocean ship...it gets you to the grounds in good time not like some other ships that need a push. The mates were great and John, the Captain, top notch to the point.

So gather up the family and head on down...and be sure to tell them that Dave sent you.
