The Adventures of Captain Mike in Howard Beach

April 11, 2001

It's flat...
It swims in the mud...
and it loves cold water.
What is it?

A. A Lawyer B. Your Mother-in-Law C. A Flounder

The crowd came out in numbers on the first really warm day, to wet their lines on these wild, ferocious flounders. Rods were doubled over as they put on their harnesses to haul these wild kindom puppies in. It took two gaffs to pull in one of the blue ribbon carniverous flounders. An innocent child was leaning over the back of the boat as the fabled 200 pound, Johnny the One-eyed Flounder, ripped him over board and tried to gum him to death. Tony, knife in teeth, dove over

and saved the child, but not before Johnny left a giant hicky on his back. Mike manuevered the boat around as two fellow customers harpooned Johnny twice.Yet with a mighty swish of his giant tail he managed to snapped the harpoons clean off.

Other than that we had a pretty good day of fishing...landing about 60 flounders in the boat.

How was your day?
