Sea Queen IV & V Sheepshead Bay

April 22, 2001

The Sea Queen provides top knotch service, always putting their customers first. The boat is kept in spotless, tip-top shape. Now they are adding a new boat to their fleet which will have the same quality service and will open George to offering a larger variety of trips. I am personally looking forward to his full day, wreck trips and tuna runs. God bless the tuna!

The new boat will also be available for charters and private fishing trips for clubs, companies and yes, the wee little ones.

I do not goose a boat that I don¹t believe in. Trust me on thisŠotherwise I¹d have to listen to your oh so kind email back on a loser trip from hell. The Sea Queen get¹s my ScreamingReel Gold Star.

Back to fishing. The flounder are biting their little heads off to 2 pounds and better. The only problem is their twisted little mindsŠone trip they rip into a good 140 fishŠsame trip, same tide, following day, they only catch 20 fish. So don¹t shoot me, I¹m only the messenger from St. Peter. Roamer Shoals has been red hot and then metza-metz. Inside College Point, on the flats, some real nice fish have been coming in between tides. Sandworms still seem to be the ticket. Put the heavy line away, 10 pound test is as high as you should go, period. And use a light rod, heck, use your freshwater bass rod! This will be perfect for detecting the biteŠwe¹re not going for 20 pound fishŠwe¹re talking 1-2 pounders. Of course a giant striper may come along and then you¹ll be whistling Dixie and looking at the sky...but the chances are slim.

Chum and more chum is the trick. However, do not chum, I repeat DO NOT chum when the current is running hard. Because all your little flatties will follow the chum 20 miles behind youŠokie dokie little dudes! By the way, what¹s up with the four hooked rigs? What are we doingŠlong-lining? Lighten up!

Hey! Do you smell that?
Here take a good wiffŠ
I smell FLUKE just around the corner.
Yaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh Baby!
