Shinnecock Star

April 23, 2001

One of my favorite boats. John is a trip of a captain. I had a great time fishing with him. The weather Monday doesnıt get any better. Flounders had to be worked. They lay their like a log on the bottom...good luck Louie...youıre not going to produce. Bouncy, bouncy three times and count to twenty with out the Mississippi. Pull ever so lightly...if you feel dead weight, you just found Jimmy Hoffa (only kidding). Keep pulling up slowly until you feel that heart beat of his shaking head then snap back and hook him up and pull him in. Remember, donıt rip back too hard and rip his lips off. Heıll never play the horn again...OK? Relax, chill out, but donıt go into a comma please.

John, I am definitely looking forward to the opening of fluke season. If you never fished for fluke in shallow water, jigging, itıs a trip. Talk about a sudden rip on your rod or watching the fish swim through the gin clear water after your jig....very cool!

You must call and hold a spot, because of limited space on the boat, especially on the weekend. Donıt be left at the dock beating up your fishing buddy when he says that he forgot to call....just toss him off the dock and leave him there with the crabs!

One problem with the Shinnecock Star...
thereıs no jacuzzi to fish from.
