I have enjoyed showing you fellow fishermen a taste of the area we fish. So Tommy Gunn, owner of FishSeekers.com and I hooked up to bring you a film on the going's on in Connetquot State Park and the incredible trout fishing that it has to offer Long Islanders and travellers. It is definitely one of the jewels of the Island. If you are trying to get someone into fly fishing, you must bring him or her here first...it would be a crime not to.
For Tommy and I....hardcore saltwater fishermen... it was a break from the usual and a good time to get out of the city, into the woods and onto the streams. The trout here range from your casual trout of a pound to small dogs of 6 pounds and better lurking behind every bend. To say we caught a few would be a sad under statement at best. On the first day Tommy caught over 20 trout and a 3 pound rainbow. I have a bad habbit of losing fish on their double flip. We talked to other fishermen, none of whom had a bad word to say about this grand fishing establishment.
It's been a great learning experience to work with Tommy Gunn on this project and I hope you enjoy our film.
