"Fluke SlamFest for Kids"
Miss Point Lookout

May 30, 2001

There is enough fluke action to stuff an elephant. So much action, it was a joke...all it took was a 3 oz, silver bullet and a pink teaser, using 20 lb. test Proline.

I had a fish on every drift, sometimes four on a drift. This is great action for the young ones. Lots of quick action, so they don't go stir crazy. Bring a light rod and bouncy-bouncy...slow bounces...just a flick of the wrist up and down...no rocket science tricks here. One spearing on both hooks (threw the eyes) keep it simple.

Are there any keepers?

Here's a little fluke that I caught in the bay on Wednesday that weighed in over 5 lbs. I also caught a few other nice keepers and dropped a few little piggies to boot.

When jigging, it's all about action. I love it, it's great fun! So Dad, Mom...grab the wee little ones and take them out on the bay for a great day of fishing.

Miss Point Lookout is one of the best family boats in the fleet on Long Island. A clean, comfortable boat with great service. Mom, work hard on that suntan and the kids sleep like dogs after a half day on the water.

Enjoy!
