"Hot off the Griddle"
September 5 , 2001

It's a fluke slam fest, with Captain Neil in hot pursuit of smashing Captain John's record from the previous day of fluke fishing. We're talking big fluke, Ralphie Boy...3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 pounders. A three pound fluke was no big deal yesterday. I've waited all year for this sort of fluke fishing. Heck, check out these pictures...we still had buckets of fish that didn't make it onto the table.

There were a great bunch of real fishermen on the boat, that will put this day as a feather in their hat. Neil was all smiles...he could do not wrong.

The competition is going to be hot and heavy between John and Neil...it's six to six or sixty love. What a match! This won't last forever, get into the fluke match now. Call in sick...go out for a pack of cigarettes and jump on the Shinnecock Star. Please oh please call for reservations or you will be left on the dock, head held low blowing your nose and walking away thinking, "I could have been on that boat...I could have been a fluke master if only I called ahead of time." Sniff, sniff...

Capt. John's serving is swift and hard. Capt. Neil, silver fox, will play hard on his weaknesses. Who do you think will win the 10 pound race?
