"Blues on Ice"

Swedish Princess, Port Washington
October , 2001

Fall is upon us...the leaves are rustling in the October cool winds. This is the time for gator blues to chomp away to get fattened up for their long travel south. And eat they will...don't go slipping off any boats in a blitz. I've heard some crazy stories in my time of blues chomping on more than bait...if you get my drift. I think that I've watched "Jaws" one too many times. Have you seen my dog Pippin? "Pippin, Pippin, here boy".

Anyway, the blues chowed down with Capt. Steve on the Swedish Princess...and we got into some stupid fishing. Steve and I just laughed at each other on how ridiculous the fishing was. We caught over 50 blues in a couple of hours. Fish up to 12 lbs. and above. We called it a morning...not shabby. We released every fish. Steve is definitely Long Island Sound's best blues man. He produces fish period and is a great guide, showing his customers the tricks of the trade...and a good time.

So get into some hot action now and have a blast.
