Our Family Road Trip to Cape Hatteras
Got up this morning...the sky was gray and not looking very promising. The birds were singing some bad tune from the 70's...need more espresso. Rented a nice beach house at the Lighthouse View, at a great rate...unlike some places on Long Island that will cost you your first born.
Anyway, my family always has a good time...well most of the time...if we hide the weapons...we NEVER argue...OK, OK, OK, I have a normal family! Check the list twice make sure everything is brought. I always forget something. My son is psyched and my wife is looking at me sideways...the weather is so-so, but the fishing is supposed to be great. It is a 12 hour ride, I've been there for a report already and loved it and I know what is there. That's it for today...time to get on the highway...that lonesome highway..."do be do be dooooo"..."Stop singing Dad!"
