Our Family Road Trip to Cape Hatteras...Continued

We were driving down the highway...going threw alot of small towns...I prefer the scenic route when I'm on a family trip. It's half the trip...going down south. You have to break up the trip or the kids will start a riot...and you'll jump out the window. I love fudge and fireworks!

Oh yeah...and the barbeque pit...there's nothing better than ribs over a pit, smoked yum-yum...don't forget a half a chicken. Stuff the kids, they sleep better when they're weighed down...no vegetarians here, sorry. Good tunes and drive. Crack a smile...no ones looking. Remember check the kids for weapons, before entering the car. As we drove up to the beach house my son's eyes bugged out and he was in his bathing suit and in a heart beat, running to the pool. Now adults check the water...kids are insane, they just jump in...that water was freezing.

Anyway, the fishing was a pick. The temps had dropped from 64 to 54...yikes, it happens! But the kingfish and blow fish were biting good and the fluke and cocktail blues were hitting on the south bar.

So, I fished aliitle and then we went for miniature golf and go carts.

There are also some incredible sand dunes between Nags Head and Kitty Hawk...they are called Jockey's Ridge. The kids can go crazy...jumping off towering sand hills and acting their adventure stories over and over. (And the adults can have a pretty good time there too!)

Cape Hatteras is a gold star for families. You have my word on it.
