Well this fishing spot has grown on me...I guess that I just needed to get the timing down. Like when the levy closes the door, which changes everyday. You can call the tackle store Altenkirch and they will give you the exact times. Right now you can get some real beauties.
Take a look at these weakfish I had the pleasure of photographing and watched all released. Way to go! I get so much joy from this sport when I see it respected. Catch and release is something I've been doing for years. Keep what you will eat for the day and put back the rest. Anyway enough lecturing for now. You all know and have heard the news...Do the right thing! (And leave one for me!)
Weakfish, blues, stripe bass and large fluke can all be caught in this fishing hole. Jigs seem to be the way to go here. Altenkirch is right next to the canal...across the bridge, and they will hook you up with the right jigs and bait. Try it and see if you can land one of these puppies.
